Ranges

Oven RangesHaving a great cooking range makes your kitchen the hub of excitement and allows you to cook large meals more efficiently. Some companies offer brass burners which distribute heat from the center of pans out to the edges giving more time for boiling or simmering. Other ranges have stainless steel burners which allows for even heating throughout the surface of the pan.

Ceramic cooktops are a big trend in today’s kitchen appliance industry. Not only can the colors be customized to match any kitchen décor but many have individual, double or triple burners depending on which one you choose. Others even offer five burners. There is a warming center to keep food warm while finishing on other dishes. Other companies boast elements that will boil water quicker. Temperature controls help maintain perfect temperature throughout any meal. LED displays are convenient and glass touch controls are a high end feature you won’t find in regular run of the mill ranges.

Many ranges use induction heat to maintain even cooking as well as reduce energy. Their ovens often have large capacity which accommodates even the largest of baker or sheet pans and the racks have multiple positions. Convection ovens are often built in to high end ranges and many high end manufacturers offer commercial style temperature controls to quickly see what your temperature is.

Induction heating has become more popular in the effort to create more environmentally friendly products. Many manufacturers are incorporating this feature into ranges because it heats quickly. Induction heat is more efficient than gas or electric because water boils quicker, saving electricity. When finished with your meal, clean up is a breeze because with induction heating only the burner and pan get hot. Spills will not get baked on to the range surface.
